Bar Stool Discussion – 013

by Mark Vanderberg on July 28, 2010

We have a poll going on on the forum asking the following question “Should We Cancel GRRN Bar Stool Discussion?”. Please click on the link and let us know what you think.

Again I apologize for this episode because it’s over an hour, but at least it’s an hour shorter than the last episode. So yes you guessed it is just over two hours but we tried to go shorter than last episode and if you don’t vote in poll it may be a real short next time.GRRN-Bar

Let us know whether you noticed that there was absolutely no preparation for this episode whatsoever. We did end up talking quite a bit about technology but then we brought it back to guns and gun rights.

We do have a lot of fun with these episodes but we also would like to know that someone out there is listening to and enjoying them. Maybe if we continue on maybe one of you fun listeners would like to get in on the conversation with us sometime (if you can keep up).

Chicago 2010 2A Freedom Rally

by Mark Vanderberg on July 10, 2010

I was able to drive into Chicago on July 9 to attend the third annual Second Amendment Freedom Rally and I was very glad I did.

The main reason for the trip was to record the rally audio and some interviews for my podcast (Gun Rights Advocates Podcast) and to support my former fellow citizens. See I was born in Chicago  our family had left more than 30 years ago, but I still have a very close bond with the city of my parents and grandparents.

But also I am very glad that we’ve moved into the state of Indiana where the government respects the rights of its citizens. See I just finished my application for a lifetime license to carry a handgun. This is something that the citizens of Chicago could only have dreamed about in the past. But after the decision in the Supreme Court on June 28, 2010 it helps to put them one step closer towards the freedom that their neighboring state Indiana already has.

Had a wonderful time talking with a lot of the participants and attendees at the rally. Everyone was very upbeat and excited, that was much different than a year ago when it was still uncertain how far the McDonald case would go.

Speaking of McDonald, Otis was there and it was very special to meet man whose name will most likely be part of constitutional law for a very long time. If you think about everything he’s had to go through in his life and then in the years that should be relaxation and retirement he takes on the Chicago political machine and the gang bangers in his neighborhood. He’s a very special man and you can see that in the photograph below.

Bar Stool Discussion – 012

by Mark Vanderberg on July 1, 2010

We know it has been well over a year since last time we recorded a podcast, so we are assured that we will have very few listeners to this episode. We also know that we tried to make up for all the time we lost all at once by recording an episode that is well over three hours long.

If you make it to the end of the show you will hear our e-mail addresses, so you can contact us and let us know how bad the show was. Winking smile

Thanks,

Take a look at how our college campuses are restricting the free speech of our college students on campus. I think you may find the video associated with this link very shocking and disturbing.

Please forward it on to friends and family with children either in college or preparing to enter.

New domain name added to GRRN properties

June 25, 2010

GRRN turned out to be the high bidder on a new domain name that we will use in the future. The domain is CONCEALEDHANDGUNLAWS.com and I can imagine us using it for a show related to handgun laws.
