Show Notes Provided by Charlie Foxtrot
Streamed Live Jan 11, ‘12:  Glock: The Rise of America’s Gun author Paul M. Barrett pulls up a GRRN bar stool to discuss his newly-released work. Much more than a Glock by Paul Barrett“Rock yer Glock” book, it’s a look into a changing America through the prism of the revolutionary handgun. Mark and Doc’s interview reveals the history, biography, iconography, business, marketing and political facets of Paul’s complex work. The 15 years of research is clearly in evidence, as is the education and guidance of Massad Ayoob and Gail Pepin. It’s an exceptional interview and a highly recommended book.

The Run, Doc, Run!!! bio-break features the driving 2nd Amendment themed Right to Bear song. Dave Bray, lead vocalist of Madison Rising (that’s James Madison) bellies up to the bar to tell of his group’s pro-American, pro-Freedom, pro-gun, hard-rockin’ message. Doc lays on his highest praise; “It doesn’t suck!”  Give their new self-titled album Madison Rising a listen on iTunes and Amazon.

Gail calls in, but Mas can’t talk; “He’s all tied up.”  The literal truth, suspects the Chatroom. In the rollicking aftershow, copies of Glock: The Rise of America’s Gun are won by Bob144(?) and VSpeck(?). It’s a great time! Listen to the podcast, then join us LIVE for the next Bar Stool Discussion, Jan 25th 2012, at 9:00 PM EST, for even more fun, frivolity, and facts.
