Newtown: BSD #57 Streamed Live 12/27/12: As the shockwaves from the Newtown, CT atrocity continue to reverberate, Mark, Doc, Grant, the regulars and guests meet for a sober BSD. Guy A. Relford, firearms lawyer and trainer, helps discuss the media bias, the ever opportunistic anti-gun politicians, and the populace’s apparent need for simplistic solutions. Much of the conversation centers on what can be done. Guy’s Tactical Firearms Training firm has stepped up to providing free training to educators so they can effectively protect the children. His legal practice is also heavily involved in defending the rights of Indiana gun owners before the courts.

Practical Defense podcaster Alex Haddox brings his unique understanding to the tragedy. He points out the attractiveness of gun-free soft targets to maniacs bent on attention and suicide. His experience shows that the lunatics often immediately kill themselves when confronted by force; as shown by the Clackamasshooting where a CCW holder drew on the killer, panicking him into ending his spree early. This shows the extreme relevance of school guards and an armed populace. Alex is a personal protection expert who has just published a new book; How to Write Range Safety Standard Operating Procedures, available in electronic formats.

The enemies of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (RKBA) have opportunistically jumped on this tragedy. Now is the time to ensure that the voice of reason, your voice, can be heard. Be sure to join the NRA, the Second Amendment Foundation, and your state gun rights organization. The NRA has made it very easy with a year Membership and a $25 BassPro gift card, all for $25: that’s free!

Be sure to join the BSD alternating Wednesdays at 9:00 EST – 6:00 PST. Gun Rights Radio Live

Stay safe, defend your Rights, and have a Happy New Year!
