LAID in Moto-city Streamed Live 4/18/12: Rick “9mm” Ector, firearms instructor, blogger, gun rights activist, and media resource, dials up the GRRN barroom from the mean streets of Detroit. In an outstanding interview, he recounts his 7 year journey from unarmed mugging victim to the owner of Rick’s Firearm Academy of Detroit, and his corresponding move into gun rights activism. Despite years of Mark’s stalking, when cornered at the NRA convention Rick quickly agreed to this interview, and hopefully many more.

After attending many meetings, interviewing countless people, and pulling hundreds of triggers, Mark describes his trip to the 2012 St Louis NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits (NRAAM). It’s Mecca for firearm and freedom fans. Sounds like a great time! You know…next year’s NRAAM is in Houston, and there’s already talk of a GRRN Expedition. No Compromise! Streamed Live! 4/4/12: On Doc’s 47^th birthday, Paul Velone, of Grass Roots North Carolina knocks aside the GRRN bar doors to celebrate the elimination of his state’s ban on carrying firearms during a state of emergency. Paul is a guerilla fighter for gun rights with a No Compromise attitude: an aggressive, winning tactic. Then – it gets a bit odd: with the latest Glock follies and an improvised silencer made from an oil filter. Matt of American Specialty Ammo swears it’s the quietest 22LR silencer available. Remember: it ain’t stupid if it works.

The chatroom overflows with April Fools jokes including the Glock G1911 and a tactical kilt. In the after-show, Doc entertains with his “Tales From The Prostrate”, featuring a doctor’s sausage fingers, a missing class ring, a pretty nurse with questions about Doc’s sexual proclivities, a little prick, and a hot nurse named Bob? It was hard to tell over all the laughter. However, descending the Grand Staircase in her antebellum finery, Gail trips over a bit of shattered technology, and doesn’t call in.

I Love Guns and Coffee! Streamed Live! 2/22/12: Gun rights issues take precedence this Bar Stool Discussion. A simpering NGVAC spokeshole cannot explain away his boycott’s failure, nor the success of the gun culture’s Starbucks BUYcott. In a recorded speech, John Lott celebrates Canada’s flirtation with rationality as they eliminate the Long Gun Registry. Mark and Doc bandy about many other gunny issues, including gun cleaning, the new Kalashnikov AK-12, Top Guns: a highly recommended History Channel show, and especially the need to continue to support our rights with meaningful, long term actions.

The Vicki and Grant Cunningham grace the always frenetic chatroom. However, aware that most men work with computers, but preferring to beat hers into submission, Gail doesn’t call in. The Aftershow ends with a BANG and not a whimper, as a North Carolina thunderstorm (Flash and CRASH, y’all) knocks Doc back to the Revolver Age.

While Gail Pepin mops-up the audience, The Vicki: firearms instructor, blogger, and Shelton’s long-rumored much better, non-quitting half, is introduced. Grant Cunningham wheels by to complain about the weather. Doc incessantly punches his Man Card; bragging about shooting a .50 BMG rifle 30-40 times, at machinery, for free, while getting paid for it. Bastich, lucky bastich. Mark justifiably crows about the debut of the excellent monthly GRRN Newsletter. Throughout it all, the Chatroom rocks with the usual suspects and some talented amateurs.

What a night!  And if you weren’t there for the aftershow; well, you just missed it.

It’s a tale wrapped in intrigue, embezzlement, shady legalistics, disinheritances, lawsuits, divorce, threatened boardroom shootouts, attempted murder, the control of a company worth billions of euros, and a smokin’ hawt trophy wife: The Glock Family Feud.

Lightening up, the discussion turns to shark-jumping Zombies, OCD brass preparation (Shiny!), and plans for a Reloading Barstool. Another episode that almost did not happen for two reasons first Mark has been sick for several days before this episode and Doc was trying to find someone to replace him on short notice. Doc failed so Mark had to do the show because the show must go on. Then technical difficulties at the beginning of the show almost did not allow Mark even to call in and when he did nobody could hear him. Though in the end the show did go on and pretty much stayed on schedule with a short un-recorded after show but we think you will really enjoy episode 31.
