The evil AK-47….  The object of hate and derision in the media…  And yet from a survival viewpoint one of the better options for a defensive rifle due to its inherent robustness, reliability and widespread availability.  On today’s episode Chip discusses a few of the AK options available today, focusing on the WASRs, Yugos, AMD-65s, MAK90s, and Saiga variants.  While considering cost and other factors, the primary focus is on the factors that make for a good defensive rifle and a dependable firearm sidekick .
