Ronnie Ray Jenkins (1957-) was raised in the Appalachians of Pennsylvania. One of eleven children of a coal miner, and a mother who suffered from multiple sclerosis, Jenkins brings a new voice and narration in his works. Gritty, and going against the grain of conventional publishing, many of his works deal with the struggles of the Appalachian common folk. An avid outdoorsman, Jenkins has three novels completed, and a collection of short stories.
In 1996, Jenkins set out to write Dark Sanctuary, and put it aside to work on other novels. In 2011, he decided to look at it again. “I was amazed at just that how much of this fiction became true,” Jenkins says. “I just had to finish the novel.”
When the Second Amendment
Martin Eberts is sent to; Clear Creek, Pennsylvania to lead his team of agents to round up anyone refusing to comply with the newly formed “National Firearms Procurement Division.” The NFPD is a ruthless bunch using surveillance, subterfuge, and force to accomplish their mission.
