Please take a few minutes and complete the survey linked below. Then hopefully in the next episode I will remember to mention all the great information you have left in the survey already.

Mark
I have said thank you for what you are doing because I'm thankful. I'm thankful because you have taken the time to encourage me to do more. I've joined the NRA, talked to friends and family so much they are probably tired of talking to me, struck up conversations with others at gun stores about gun rights and the NRA, found my Elected Officials contact info, e-mailed my officials, and subscribed to e-mail notifications. I think it's great that we have all the podcast in one place so there is bigger awareness. I found Gun Rights Advocates Podcast from a "gun" search on iTunes, and then found the website and other podcast (that I have subscribed to also).
I can't speak for anybody else, but when I say thank you, it's because you have helped me become more active in something that I believe in. Thanks
Rob

I felt so bad for that man. I really can't believe someone that served us so well, could be treated so poorly. It happens way too much. Please keep us informed with what happens. This is a great idea for a podcast.

Are there any local gun clubs that you could join? Or become a regular at at nearby shooting range. Hopefully someone there would have or know someone with the experience to help fight this. Getting known in the local gun enthusiast groups will help to spread the word. What about writing a letter to your congressmen and or sheriffs?
In the mean time, would it be an option to have pepper spray or some other defensive tool that California would allow? Anything is better than nothing. For in the home, one of those battery powered door alarms might be enough to scare someone off.
Good luck with this. Don't give up hope!

E-mail from Larry Carlin
UPDATE: Feb.10 2009
Good Morning,
I just wanted to let you know that NICS FINALLY got my file done & I am now supposedly good. I will be testing it out this week by making a purchase. If everything is good now, my next step will be applying for a CCW, I think that I have a good reason to qualify for one.
Thank you for your help & taking the time to call & post my letter on your website. I wish you the best & you have a loyal subscriber to your podcasts now!
Larry C. Carlin

I was just wondering if you've heard anything from Larry whether or not he was able to purchase a firearm now that the NICS thing was supposedly cleared up? Was he able to get a CCW?
Just curious.
It's always good to hear triumphant stories like this.

Have not heard back from Larry on the CCW. I will see if I can find his contact information and shoot him an e-mail.
