Anyone have any experience with Spikes Tactical ?  They seem to be all the rage over at ARFCOM.  They've got a sale going on lowers and I thought about taking advantage in order to start my first AR.  Complete Lower with M4 style stock for 250.

I don't have any personal experience, but I haven't heard anything bad about 'em.

I tend to think that a lower is a lower is a lower.  There's only something like 4 foundries that the blanks come from nation wide, so unless you're buying a billet lower, they're all about the same.  It boils down to a matter of care taken to make sure pin holes are drilled out to the correct measurements- it's my understanding that that is why Eagle and Olympic got themselves a "less than desirable" reputation.

If you're not hearing bad stuff, then imho, they're all the same.  If you can get one for a good price, I would.

Yeah, they're selling the stripped lowers for 90 bucks, which is a pretty good deal from what I've seen.  Looks like everyone is backed up on lowers now, and it's the uppers that everyone is stocking out of.  Makes sense with all the lowers that flew off the shelves, now everyone is trying to build them out at the same time.

I'd jump on that one.  A spikes for under $120 is one of those "well duh" deals.

I've got one of the Spike's Tactial Melonite CHF M4 style Uppers.  I haven't shot it much (yet) but the quaility and spec's are great.  Spike's is easy to deal with, you can usually talk to someone when you call and they resolved any issues that I had very quickly ( a missing buffer).  Check to see their stock by phone to see when they are really shipping.  Also, if you order on the phone, your not charged until your order ships, other wise if you 4 weeks out online, it's already on your credit card.

As to their lowers, I am very tempted by that deal just so my AR could be compleat Spikes, but it is really just me being OCD.  I haven't heard anything bad about their lowers though...

I have a Spike's lower and have no complaints.  In the interest of complete disclosure, it is the only lower I have, so I have nothing to compare it to.  It works and it works well, it even looks pretty, and other than a large red spider it is very tacti-cool.  For those with no knowledge, it will fool them into thinking you have a fully (or burst) automatic, since it has an icon on the selector switch.

Spikes is GTG. Buy with confidence.

I've got a dedicated .22lr upper that is fantastic.
