Great show Mark.
You are absolutely right about the "Extreme Right" label. It was funny in the beginning because of it's absurdity, now it's just annoying.
It's frustrating to me that people who find out I like guns ask me stupid questions like how can make my SKS go full auto or where can I buy a grenade. I would rather discuss issues like anti-gun legislation or personal safety. There are still a lot of poor folks out there whose mind has been tainted by the anti-gun media. They have accepted the fallacy that if your not a cop or a soldier, then you must be a criminal for owning guns.

Awesome show Mark! I wish I was that articulate when I'm pissed off. Good comments on the protester with the AR-15. If only I had the balls to do something like that. I think that might be where a lot of the negativity comes from on that story. Its not that he did anything wrong, he just did something that most gun owners probably don't have the guts to do. That's why it seems weird.

You make a good point about voting for pro-gun democrats. Maybe I should be registered as independent instead of republican.

Just finished listening to the new episode.  You're right on with both topics.  I imagine there are plenty of people who think I'm a right wing extremist (gun owner, registered republican...).  I bet they would be quite confused if they started asking me about some other issues about which I more closely resemble a liberal.

A black man with a gun!  He was actually exercising TWO of his constitutional rights.  At the same time.  The gaul of that man!  To peacably assemble, speak freely, and carry a gun.  Make that two guns. What was he thinking?

Perhaps he was thinking that he had the right to do these things.  I wonder where he got that idea.  I guess he must be a...

O.M.G. If I get that question one more time now that I'm an armorer my head may explode. My typical response is "Yes I know. No I'm not going to. No I'm not telling you. If you do it I will report you to the BATFE. Now let's talk about ...."

Looking forward to listening to this episode tonight, sounds like a great one!

Don't Tread on Me

This is in response to Mark's podcast - Extreme Rightwing - NOT
I enjoyed Mark's comment about the media always trying to portray gun owners and second ammendment 'rightists'. Referring to the flannel shirt - I own one or two and only wear them around the house in the winter.
I am a career computer technologist who works for a Fortune 500 company in a major city - going to work in business casual dress and working in my Dilberts cubicle. I am so antithetical to the media portrayal it's rediculous when I hear or read their anti-rights rants. If you saw me on the train (I don't carry) or an outdoor spot you would not typically associate me with our drive for LIBERTY and FREEDOM.
Crime in this city is 89.75% (ok I made that up but I'm not too inaccurate) caused by criminals already breaking the tons of gun laws and still causing death and mayhem!
My biggest concern is the loss of our FIRST ammendment rights first shortly followed by the Second.
thanks for listening

Thanks Mark! You and Ken were able to articulate much of what I have been feeling lately. I know how much effort and hard work you put into the site and the network. Thank you for everything you are doing, we greatly appreciate it!
