Go to https://www.nravalidate.org

Type in your NRA membership information

You can select upgrade your membership

or

Select that you cannot accept the special offering right now. (either way after you click validating you will have an option of joining up a friend or family member for life membership for $300)

This would make a great last-minute Christmas gift.

Merry Christmas everyone

Last year I became an NRA Lifer courtesy of Mark.  It was a realization of a lifelong desire.  Jump on this offer!

When I do it, it shows up as $500 and not $300. Has the offer expired?

Life members are able to give friends or family a life membership for $300. If you are not already a life member you can get a life membership using this link for half the normal price which is $1000.

Sorry but I will be unable to sign up any annual members this time to life memberships. After doing more $20,000 worth of memberships earlier this year I was asked not to continue to do it because it's only meant for close friends or family.

I tried to explain that I have a lot of friends, they said they would rather not have me sign up everyone.

I'll add in, however, that since I paid off my Easy Pay Life membership, now I've got the opportunity to become an Endowment Member for only $200.  I thought I would have to wait until the 2010 National Meeting to score a sweet discount like that.  Taking advantage of offers like these is a great idea.

Quoting Eric:  I paid off my Easy Pay Life membership, now I've got the opportunity to become an Endowment Member for only $200."

That is an excellent value.  I went on the validation link, and they want $275 to upgrade from Patron to Benefactor Life membership.  Eric if you don't mind me asking, is your upgrade price based on you being a certified NRA instructor?

What does an Endowment membership level get you?  Gun Dudes input is not welcome.

Endowment upgrade is the next level of Life membership.  Basically it's a Life membership with an Endowment certifcate, decal, identification card, and a gift of appreciation (mine was an endowment windbreaker.) Best of all is the personal satisfaction you get by taking the next step in the fight to preserve our constitutional rights.

You know, I have no idea!  LOL.  That's just what was in the mailer they sent me.

CF- I'm pretty sure it's bragging rights at the annual meetings.   Wink

Thanx - after becoming a lifer, I don't see the need to become any more endowed.

Meh.  They're always going to ask for/need more money anyway.  Might as well get a card and bragging rights.  There are worse things to spend your money on.

Quote from sfmittels on the TheHighRoad.us

Over the course of maybe 25 years, I've gone from an annual member to a Life Member to a Patron Member to an Endowment Member to a Benefactor Member. I'm not rich, and sure I looked for the occasional "upgrade specials". But still it cost a chunk of change, plus I've made various donations to the cause over and above the membership upgrades.

Was it worth it? Well, like my four ex-wives and one ex-girlfriend, the money is gone and will never come back. But the money I've given NRA gives me a good feeling when I think about my grandchildren and beyond. They may be stuck with today's bailout bills, but I like to think they also will still have the NRA looking out for some of their rights, funded by some of my dough. As I get older, that gives me some peace. I'm contributing to an organization that hopefully will be going strong long after I've started my well-deserved dirt nap.

Very good friend of mine is also a benefactor member and he goes to the annual meeting as much as he can and says he also gets special seating arrangements at the meeting (meaning: not the nosebleed seats).

Also you're able to purchase the benefactor merchandise which you can use to display properly as someone who has made a financial commitment to protect our Second Amendment Rights.

I will be upgrading to each membership as I am able to financially and I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to get a deal. You'll probably end up getting more money in the future anyhow.

Finally received an e-mail back from NRA membership.

------------------------
Endowment, Patron and Benefactor members are eligible to vote in NRA elections, receive special recognition at NRA events, and are sent credentials including a certificate suitable for framing, a lapel pin, a decal, a patch, and a new membership card so you can proudly display your membership status.

-------------------------

Also here are the membership prices without the discount. As you can see an upgrade to Endowment for only $200 is an excellent deal.

Life Member    $1,000
Endowment Member    $2,000
Patron Member    $3,500
Benefactor Member    $5,000

I upgraded my youngest's membership from Life to Endowment. He was a Life Member at 2 months...   Roll Eyes    I'm already capped out at Benefactor.

Thanks to Mark Vanderberg, I was able to upgrade my NRA membership to Life. My question now is how do I move from Life to Endowment? Is there a link to that special offer that Eric used?

The www.nravalidate.org URL doesn't seem to get to a $300 life membership anymore.

Try https://www.nra-2012.org/Default.aspx. This works pretty much the same as the www.nravalidate.org did to get a $300 life membership.

I tried the 2012 link and it said no offers for me.  Maybe because I only have my easy pay life half paid off.  Strange enough they sent me a thing today in the mail with the new card with an offer of signing up family members for $20.  I was thinking of adding my wife, and hoping to do it online, but looks like I have to do it on paper if I want to go that way.
