What is your opinion on shirt holsters? Are they good to use or is it a waste of money?

I'll let you know when I buy one to try it out.  5.11 has some, and they seem like an interesting concept.  Just remember that the deeper you have your gun concealed, the longer it takes to access when you need it.

I think body type may be a major factor here. These things need to be pretty tight to work well it seems to me. A hairy, heavy, heathen, such as my self may not be served well with them. Where Eric not only will look quite sexy in his, it should work very well for him. I would like to see comments from all body types who have had experience with them.

I bought the 5.11 hoster shirt about a month ago. I found it to be quite comfortable even though I'm uhh, lets say, vertically and horizontally challenged. I can even conceal my Glock 21 with the right shirt. However it does take longer to get to it.

I'm a big guy and I've come to wearing a regular, collared shirt, completely open (not buttoned) as a cover garment. Usually I'll wear a Walther PP in an IWB holster. I wonder how this would work with a holster shirt?

Hunter... Dearest,

As your wife now of 23 years, I can honestly tell you, it concerns me a little that you used "Eric" and "look quite sexy", in the same sentence. Do we need to talk?  Grin

I'm very sorry Eric, it was never my intent to waste good coffee. Wink

I have the 5.11 inside shirt that you can wear with a button shirt. It's ok but I hate the "generic"spandex material especially for the summer time here in AZ. I wish they created a 5.11 T Shirt for the summer time.
