Match Director: Darrell AKA Bubba

I thought I would do a AAR for my match saturday. As you know, I am
trying to make it real IDPA, short courses, shorter distances, more
fun lol.

Stage 1

I always try to do a holiday theme, and the giant headless Santa was
just begging to be used in a stage.
Scenario: You are a super secret SF Operative that gets called up to
handle a special rescue. Hadji has kidnapped Santa, and Santa is
down, and needs to be e-vac'd.
Procedure: Start sitting on table (helicopter) with feet on cross
beam (skids). On signal, jump out of chopper and engage T1 w/ 6
rounds while advancing to santa who is down on the ground. At P1,
using available cover (prone behind the big guy) engage P2-P4 with 2
rounds any order. Then engage T5 with head shot, as he has a bomb
strapped to his chest. The headshot was a clay pidgeon that had to
break to score. I will try to scan the stage diagrams.

Before the stage, I wrote this poem to read kind of as the scenario
and set the mood of the stage. I know its not correctly stanzad, but
it was early lol

Its Christmas time in Afghanistan
Obama's making excuses for the muslims again
Damn the Man.

For little did he know
A sinister deed done
That would require a hero
A hero with a gun!

Allah Akbar!
They yelled with a shout
All the while smiling
Without a doubt

When out of the air
there came a shout of hope
Out of the chopper I jumped
Like a real man...without a rope

When I saw the attrocity
Hadji had done
I drew my pistol and yelled
Come get some!

As the flame from the barrel
From my Glock did fly
A tear was shed
For they had beheaded the old guy!

The anger in my soul
I never before perceived
Front sight, Press Front sight Press
The bastards will pay! is what I beleived.

As we E-vac'd Santa
In the Hughey that day
A Prayer for the REAL HEROES went out
So this GAME we could PLAY.

I have attached a video of me shooting the stage. Shot it clean. http://www.youtube.com/v/zCUkFc8_PSU&rel=0

Stage 2 Circle K Robbery
Scenario: You have just finished a match at south mountain when you
stop at Circle K to get a thirst buster. As you are paying for the
drink, you hear "Hey you! Get your hands up and turn around...walk
slowly behind the counter with the clerk!" Just then you realize in
your haste to leave the range, you had loaded your gun with a partial
magazine, and only a partial mag in your carrier!
Procedure: As the RO is reciting the bad guys commands slowly walk
around the counter. Sometime when you are behind the counter, the RO
will sound the buzzer. Engage T1-T4 with 2 rounds, Tactical Sequence.

Stage 3 Are you fast enough?
Scenario: You and your friend are undercover G-men who have
infiltrated a terrorist cell and are attempting to purchase false
documents. Somehow the bad guys are tipped off, and the ring leader
grabs your partner around the neck and tells the other 2 to Kill You!
Procedure: On Signal draw and engage T1 with 1 head shot minimum,
then engage T2 And T3 with 2 rounds, Tactical Sequence.
2 Strings. Both for score.

I did Stage 3 in 2.88 seconds, about 1 second faster than anyone else.
We were checking the clock, cuz both strings were both 2.88 seconds!

Stage 4 was the Santa stage again, without the cover or concealment
requirements.

I won the match by 9 and a half seconds over the 2nd place shooter,
