The Knoxville City Council will have a workshop to consider whether or not to repeal the current ban on carry in City Parks.

This ban was enacted in 1962, and grandfathered in by the state's "Parks Carry" law enacted this year. Councilman Steve Hall has introduced the proposal to repeal the 1962 ban.

The City Council workshop will be in the Main Assembly Room,

City County Building, 400 W Main St, Knoxville, TN 37902

The workshop begins at 5:00 pm.

Any one who wishes to speak at the workshop should call the City Recorder, Cindy Mitchell, at 865-215-2075.

Please urge NRA members to attend this event, and invite their friends who are 2nd amendment supporters.

No weapons of any sort are allowed in the City-County Building.
