Does your bag have any velcro on the exterior?

Take patch and bag to tailor.

Give tailor monetary compensation. Problem solved.

Yeah, I have to go with biker on this one.  As an Eagle Scout I know something about some patches.  If you don't have a sewing machine, and I assume you don't since we're having this conversation, I'd head straight to your local tailor, seamstress, or just dry cleaner.  They do great work and it'll look so good you won't mind a couple bucks for it.

Not trying to be a wiesenehiemer here, but you did use the word sew.

I have used various glues to attatch various things to other items and if the opportunity affords itself, have found that sewing tends to be the more secure method.

Yup, pretty much what I suspected but I wanted to make sure I wasn't missting a really easy "glue this here" type of answer.

Thanks.

I'll just throw this out there- a needle and thread ain't exactly rocket science.

Now, something else to consider would be doing velcro, which is easily available at places like ACE hardware, fabric/sewing shops, or that craft store with a girl's name which is eluding me right now...  *googling*  Ah!  Michael's and/or JoAnn.  Heck, military surplus places might carry it in cool high speed colors like foliage green.  Lots of morale patches and MilSpec Monkey stuff is coming with the "hook" side already on 'em.  If you do the "loop" side, you can swap your patches any time some dingleberry starts to copy you.  Wink

I'm not allowed to use a needle and thread anymore....... long story:)

I kind of like the velcro idea....... The only downside would be that I would have to remember what patch I put on the bag that day......

I'm staring to think that a stapler is the way to go and be done with it Smiley

Stapler = Redneck Sewing System

I R A Redneck

I carry all my stuff in a WALMART bag.  That way I can tell which one is mine.  Smiley

Having it sewn on would be the most secure.  Using velcro (sorry, hook-and-loop) would be the most versatile, but if it is a cool patch it could grow wings.  If you want to go with glue, I have a friend who had good luck with a hot glue gun.

Walmart carries a film that allows you to iron on ANYTHING.....  works great

its just a thin film that comes in strips, cut it to fit, sandwich it between the patch and bag and iron away.......
you can also get iron on hook and loop for changable patches.... I have a few of the milspec monkey patches and they just freakin ROCK
