Two suggestions and a thank you

I wanted my 200th post to simply be a thank you, but I realized I had hidden a couple suggestions in other previous posts...

An "Off Topic" area.  Good for politics (not related to guns), or whatever other (non-gun) topic.

A multi-quote feature.  I'm not sure if this is possible, but just the ability to reply to multiple posts in a single post under a common thread.

Finally, a huge thank you.  I love interacting with the podcasts and other fans.  I'm grateful for their efforts and grateful to have a place to express that.

I thought it better to bump a thread than create a redundant one, I had two quick message board questions.  #1, is there a "new posts" button somewhere?  I would have sworn I had been using it, but it's nowhere to be found on the main GRRN forums page (Firefox is my browser).  #2, I have read the forum rules, but I keep seeing messages and banners saying

Everyone needs to Read the Rules, you are endangering your account status and this forum.

.  Is that normal?  Thanks for the shows and the forum!

A "New Posts" button would make me want to surf the forums more.  There are a few recent posts at the bottom of the main page, but just a list of unread posts and posts since last visit are standard on the other message boards I'm on.  I love the podcasts, but I've never found the forum user friendly.

Blue, right below your alias top left is a "Show unread posts since last visit" hot-link sentence. I think that's like your "New Posts" button. And yes, the banner is seen by everyone.
