"...better you than me."

« on: May 14, 2010, 08:52:27 PM »

Eric, I have been listening to your podcast since this past winter, and I really enjoy it.  I listen to it on the way to work every Friday night.  I'm not going to lie...there have been some things that I disagree with you on.  But, overall, I enjoy the heck outta your show.  I am located in Southeast Iowa...not the most conservative state.  I've been shooting since I was 4 years old, so for about 20 years now.

By the way...WAY TO GO ARIZONA!

Love your forum handle!  LOL.  And there's nothing wrong with disagreeing as long as there's logic behind it.  If you've got your reasons, or a certain method of carry simply works better for you, etc. I am all for difference of opinions!  This is information exchange, and the more valid information, the better!

Actually, Eric disagrees with himself half the time. It's part of what makes the podcast so enjoyable.

Eric, I have gone by AnimalMother for a long time. Not just online, but as a nickname. It came from my father when I was young. He always thought that I would make a good support gunner/machine gunner. Then he had me watch Full Metal Jacket at age 10 or so " Dont tell your mom!"

Anyway, during the movie he would say, "See?  I think you would be good at that, son."

I remember when I was first shooting revolvers with him...the age of 6 or so...I started dumping the brass into my hand and he said "Son that will get you killed in a fight.  Dump em on the ground". Love ya, dad.
