I am seeing a lot of really nice stuff here! And I'm waiting for the match between Eric and Jamie - could be fun to watch!
Fair fight, now, guys! Only us old guys are allowed to do an "Indiana Jones" move!

I was referring to "gun grabber". Here's a nice .22 It was manufactured back in the late 30's I believe, or perhaps 40's. In all events, it's an old gun. Still shoots a lot better than I do. The cylinder is so tight you have to push the .22's in.

I just recently listened to one of the ProArms podcasts, wherein it was stated that juries are affected by the appearance of the weapon used. So "tactical" weaponry does not sit so well with them. Apparently they like stuff that looks like grandpa's gun.

Except you've already seen what us "grandpa's" like - and it isn't anything you'd find on Doom.

I suppose I would be expected to learn to play it! Ha! I thought I already did as much as I was likely to do in the gaming sphere when I was given as a gift a Forza Motorsports game, complete with the steering wheel and pedals, to play on my son's xBox360. THAT is a bit addicitive, I do admit, but I was always a racer type. Ran lay-downs for 4-5 years and only got out when Dessert Storm dragged me to the hinterland of (gulp!) North Dakota (it wasn't the end of the world, but if you climbed to a second floor, you could see the end of the world).

I have no rational explanation for why , , but for some reason I think the bar for "too gaudy" gets set much higher for a revolver then does a semi auto. .
You are right, but I think it's because the lines are so different. An auto is slab-sided, so you only have room for basic painting, while the revolver has that drum to go crazy with. You do an auto, you wind up taking out much of the writing on the slab, which every maker/customizer uses for advertising. On a revolver it's usually only on the barrel, and then not that much of it. There is the S&W logs, but that can be worked over easily as it isn't very deep. And just go back and look at that Navy that NS2 posted! You just can't find an auto that looks that good - period! And I'm an auto shooter, to boot.

You know. I think you nailed it Dev. A tarted up semi ends up looking to me like a van from the 80's with a mural air brushed on the side. Buy a revolver has allot more took to look like a work of art.

AND, you can make Colt Navies look like any kind of serious sci-fi hand cannon you like.... even semi-auto mag-fed hand cannons (see Mal's pistol in Firefly... I swear that's a dolled up Navy). Also, cool revolvers are the preferred armaments in steam punk .

That is a nice looking gun NS2. I like the functionality of the look. Basic, but sharp looking.

I am getting to like Sigs more and more. I like the Hogue aluminum grips - they look to be flat black. Not sure I can wrap around the copper, but I would have to see it in person. Colours can often be so different in real life. Overall, there is something about that Sig that is just plain neat.

Still not sure if this is good or bad... Sig has started making "one-off" guns for sale through the academy pro-shop. This one is a P226-357 with a copper Cerakote frame. The grip panels are Hogue aluminum and I added them later. Absolutely gorgeous. I'm in love.
