There's a thread like this on TSP and I really enjoy it, so I thought I'd start one here. This one's for Carl. Where's this line from. (too easy I know.)
"I had a good day.
You had the Alliance on you- criminals and savages. Half the people on this ship have been shor or wounded, including yourself...and you're harboring known fugitives.
Well, we're still flyin'
That's not much.
It's enough"

Its from Outtakes but hilarious:
"We got time for grave digging?"
"Zoe, we got time to rope em together, 5 of 6 of them, I want em laid out on the nose of our ship. Put Book front and center, he's our friend, we should honor him.
Kaylee, find that kid who's taking a dirt nap with baby jesus, we need a hood ornament.
Jayne, try not to steal too much of their shit"

We're probably the most conservative, gun-toting browncoats out there. Then there's the browncoats who hang on Joss' every word and are thusly are fans of NOW

. Is Josh a huge lib progressive? His browncoat scripts read like a Tea Party manifesto. Lots of conservatives in the industry adopt a left leaning or non-political cover to get and keep jobs. I honestly don't know.
Oh yeah:
"We meddle. People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome."

I've been told Joss' favorite "charity" is NOW. That, and his series do seem to trend along the lib line (though Firefly does seem to read like a TEA Party manifesto).
Adam Baldwin (Jayne - Firefly, Animal Mother - Full Metal Jacket (iirc)) though is a definite conservative. he's a royal hoot to follow on twitter as well, too
