One of the only good things that freely flows across the Mexican border.  Though that point is moot. It still comes through LEGALLY Wink

Despite my utter hatred for the use of the f-word, that quote nearly made me spew my coffee (If I currently had a cup in hand).

Profanity to me is like dominos pizza.  its generally not needed and too much will make you sick. But sometimes.  Just sometimes.  there is nothing else that will hit the spot.

Talk about timing: Amazon has a special on the entire Firefly series:

http://www.amazon.com/Firefly-Complete-Nathan-Fillion/dp/B0000AQS0F/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1287081660&sr=8-1
HT: Instapundit.com

18 bucks for the DVD set.  That's a savings of $32 over the list price. Plus, you can get $4 of free Amazon movie rentals if you comply with their special requirements (mainly use One Click.)  No idea how long the special will last. I jumped on the deal.

"What was that???"

Charlie, thanks for letting me know about the Amazon offer. I had just started watching this again for the 3rd time before this thread started using copies I made from a friend's set. Time to do the right thing and buy my own copy.

I also ordered "Die Hard" to get the free shipping because I've been meaning to show my girlfriend why I like the quote "Yippee ki-yay, mother..", er, dominos pizza.

If you have bot seen Adam Baldwin in Chuck your missing out.  He plays agent John Casey who has pictures of Reagan in his home, locker at work and on his table while he cleans his guns.

Thinking he is up to something, agents walker and Casey barge into the batthroom that is occupied by Chuck.  Chuck says "geez is nothing sacred with you guys" Casey replies angrily as usual "yeah the right to keep and beat arms".

Once the series really gets going, each episode is full of great sayings by Baldwins character.

Baldwin is an awesome actor.  I love how well he plays the simpleton/brute so well, yet so intelligently (Animal Mother and Jayne had some really good lines that made you think "huh, I guess they're not drop-dead stupid after all").

I'll have to check out Chuck.

Oh, and going with the FireFly quotes:

"To Jayne!  The man-ape-gone-wrong.... thing."

Yeah he plays the exact same character in chuck.  There are some things in the show like the fact that Chuck prefers to not use a gun or lethal force, but overall all of the characters are great.

"Pain is scary."

And then....

"Aw geeze, you're killing me Lawrence.  See, you didn't tell them nuthin!  Don't they teach you how to withstand interrogation or somethin?  Man.... I was gonna get me an ear, too!"

Don't forget to order it through Mark's link so the forum gets it's cut.

To continue the thread;

Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: Jayne, how many weapons you plan on bringing? You only got the two arms.
Jayne Cobb: I just get excitable as to choice- like to have my options open.
Capt. Malcolm Reynolds: I don't plan on any shooting taking place during this job.
Jayne Cobb: Well, what you plan and what takes place ain't ever exactly been similar.

Jayne: You know what the chain of command is? It's the chain I go get and beat you with 'til ya understand who's in ruttin' command here.

[on merchandise they've just stolen]
Wash: I'd say worth a little risk.
Jayne: Yeah, that was some pretty risky sittin' ya did there.
Wash: That's right, of course. 'Cause they wouldn't arrest me if we got boarded. I'm just the pilot. I could always say that I was flying the ship by accident.
