Gotta find out how to keep it from doing that.

Ruger warranty service?  I've only had good experiences with their warranty repairs.

I am stuck out of town so I went to a local range and rented an S& W 500 and a Desert Eagle in 44 to try and get my shooting fix. It just made me want to shoot more Angry

Took my newly built upper, chambered in 300 Blackout, for a test drive.  What a quiet and soft round (subsonic rounds), it was great fun to shoot and the other folks at the range were jealous :-)

I got the rifle second-hand, would the factory warranty still cover it?

Just picked up this RJ marked (Nazi court system) Walther PP....

I'd say the bluing is about 90% with a little bit of holster wear. The bore is perfect.

Finally got out and shot my new Marlin 308MXLR.  Now it is really going to be a long wait for deer season.  For a lever gun this thing groups very well.  The longest range I could get today was 50 yards, but I took it, it was time behind the trigger with my son.  I got it broke in, and the scope dialed in.  Then tried Hornady 160 gr, 140 gr and Remington's 150 gr rounds.  With the results I got the Hornady rounds are worth the extra cash.  I put them in one large hole for the most part, the Remington's would group like I was shooting my AR at 100 yards.

This is a 5 shot group, I flinched on the flier, this gun has a little kick and had shot about 50 rounds at this point.

Made a single mag pouch for my G19 out of Kydex and leather.  And, I bought a slot at the upcoming MAG40 class in UT.  Cant wait to finally meet the Gundudes and Mas-N-Gail.

Bought a Bushnell Trophy Red-Dot. A $85 flyer. Let's see if it works.

The IDPA itch got scratched a bit. A Bladetech Kydex holster and two double mag pouches showed up.  All I need is a good quality Instructors belt -- and the will to make an absolute fool out of myself....   Roll Eyes

Broke in my new 10/22 takedown today, using it in a Ruger Rimfire match.
It jammed (stovepiped) twice early on, 1st one was on the last shot of a stage, so it didn't hurt my time, second one cost me a couple of seconds. After that, it worked fine all day. Everybody loved the bag it came with... it was cool being able to stow the rifle, pistol, mags and ammo in one compact package. No need for a cart.  Grin
I finished 4th overall, so not a bad outing.
I've gotta do this more often.  Cool

Bought a S&W M&P 9mm. Had to sell the Glock 19 that never fit my hands. Thankfully the mags fit my carrier with a little tension screw adjustment.

Shot my G19 Gen 4 with the new "Dot" connector and improved ejector.  Only 100 rounds but she ran smooth.  Noticed the trigger feels smoother than the original connector but could be just me.

Bought and sold stuff, mostly sold.  Too much stuff breaking at home that has to get fixed.  Hoping to buy a 10/22 Tactical tomorrow and then mount it in a ATI adjustable/folding stock.  Gonna stick a Vortex Strikefire on it.  We are going to have a .22LR two-gun match and this will be perfect along with my Mark III target with a Fastfire III installed.  .22 LR is way fun.

This past week I worked up my first handloads... ever.  Using a Dillon Square Deal "B" set up for .45ACP.  Happy to say the rounds did NOT blow up my SW1911SC, but went down range and punched holes holes in paper.  Excellent!  I then worked up another 100 rounds and I ordered more components (mainly brass... put in an order for 1000 cases of starline brass from midwayusa).

Besides doing the regular Tuesday IDPA competition and cleaning my 1911 weekly (during which I listen to more serious stuff... I listen to mindless drivel like the Gundudes when I'm reloading b/c I've got to focus), not much else in guns.

I got to shoot something with a suppressor on it for the first time ever...
was at the rifle range yesterday when a regular shooter there showed up with his toy collection... just about everything this guy owns requires at least one tax stamp.  Shocked
He let me (insisted, actually) shoot his short-barreled, suppressed 9MM AR... man, that was fun. It was actually quieter than his suppressed Ruger .22 pistol.
Guess I'm gonna have to spent some more money.  Grin
