Gunblast.com has finally gotten and reviewed a Rossi Ranch Hand.
I like the review they did!  Well I like all the posts they do at gunblast for that matter.....  I emailed Jeff Quinn and he has accepted doing an interview for the podcast soon.. it should be fun....
Make sure to go read the review at http://gunblast.com/Rossi-RanchHand.htm

Well, I'll be! Ghost of Steve McQueen! I have seen a specialty built mare's leg, but didn't realize anyone made it as a production gun. This would be perfect for CF, who already owns pretty much all cowboy guns known to man (joke, CF - don't want you getting all serious on me like Chris).

.
Baah.  Even though the Mare's Leg (Ranch Hand, Bounty Hunter, Zoe's gun, whatever) is completely impractical, illogical, historically inaccurate, and wasteful, I still don't want one.

As for every cowboy gun known to man: sheesh.  I've got some, want more, but even if I was somehow able to satisfy my rapacious heart, I wouldn't own more than sip of the ocean of Victorian era long guns.  I've thought of collecting all of JMB's guns: I've already inadvertently gotten a good start - but the lack of a M2 would gnaw at me....

Well…
If you can have someone convert it into a single shot (ie. remove the magazine spring and install a wooded dowel in the magazine tube), it would be roster exempt. After it is DROS'ed and released to you, you can convert it back.

I prefer your solution Doc, too bad it's not possible.  I can dream about living in AZ though.  Maybe VT or AK, but I don't like cold.
