Just wanted to share with you the totals we received from our partners that you have purchased with during the holidays.

Those of you who purchased items from our Amazon store, we received $31.28

We also received $8.06 from items purchased from the links here on the forum.

Will have to evaluate to see if it's even worth having advertisements here and on the other websites. Would definitely welcome your opinion.

Those are disappointing numbers. I just ordered yesterday from Amazon and clicked through from GRRN, I think, there is nothing on Amazon reflecting such. So I am hoping you got the credit and hoping it is not yet reflected in the above numbers.

Hunter,

Doesn't look like numbers reflect anything for sales from yesterday. Don't think they actually post anything until it is actually shipped and I think they hold payment to us for either 30 or 60 days in case items are returned.

Just thought if advertising would work at any time it would probably work around the holidays. Just trying to come up with a way to make all of this self-sufficient. Really don't like asking for donations, feel like one of them guys on the street asking for change.  Wink

Thank you for using the link.

Good thought, but advertising must be repetitive to work. On the forums there are no links to support or advertising on the main page that I see. So I have to go the the web page which is not linked from the forums directly, or again I am missing something.

You announced the Amazon link once, November 8. I grabbed the link and put it on my desktop knowing I wanted to use it later. I did on December 26. Now how many saw the announcement, thought cool then forgot to use it later.

I just found the announcement about Brownells advertising from December 15, must have missed, and now do not see any advertising from Brownells.

I think you should have one link to a support/associate/advertizing page from the the forums and the main web page. It should have all revenue generating engines there as buttons or banner ads, maybe explanations on how to use them, etc. Links to Amazon, to your store on the main page, banner ads for Brownells, Gun Digest, etc. The donation and subscription links, every revenue system on one page with simple links to it and out.

Then make an announcement in the forums every month pointing out the link and the page.

Understand the feeling about asking for donations.

Check your ad blocking software because there are ads all over the place.

I really am not a forum guy, so didn't know about the Amazon thing. Maybe a short blurb to slip into the podcasts now and then would seriously increase that number. I have used them a couple of times lately and didn't know.

Would be cool to have a whole forum page with all the different sites that advertise through us. So that if I knew I was going to be buying something from, lets say, amazon then I could go to the page and click the link before I buy.
