Hey Alex, that was me you mentioned.

I was walking across the street in downtown columbus, and nearly got hit. The email I sent you went like this ...
About two hours ago my awareness was once again put to the test, and not to my liking.
I was almost hit by a guy driving a delivery van (think ford E150). He was turning left and I was crossing the street, with the right of way (crossing lights, walk-don't walk), and the van's grill was facing me the whole way. For the record, I'm wearing a bright, almost baby blue shirt which should contrast nicely from the grey/tan colored buildings. He came so close to hitting me, my first thought was "I'm close enough I can punch this guy in the head".
Now, I didn't take a swing, but I did square up with the van, side step (shuffle), and began raise myself to the "ready" position (hands up, boxer like) and in that split second, decided to yell at the driver in my command voice instead a few choice, colorful words about being on the phone and driving.
... stay aware, stay safe!
