Ehh. I had one, 30-ish years ago, when a previous incarnation of Charter Arms made them. Not reliable. I eventually traded it off for a 740K 3.5" floppy drive. This was when guns were cheaper, and floppies more expensive. Nevertheless, I won't be doing anything like that again.
I kind of wish I still had it, just to tinker with.
Some of the details of this one look different from the older version. Nevertheless, if I were to need a "survival .22", I think I'd skip the AR7 in favor of a 10/22 with folding stock and the shortest barrel they'll let me have in this benighted state.
