Well my nick name has been Chucky since I can remember and my last name begins with a tee. I just added three numbers that were easy to remember without referring to myself as the anti-Christ.

IHMSA is the governing body of the pistol competition that I shoot. International Handgun Metallic Silhouette Association. www.ihmsa.org if you're curious. 40x40 is a perfect score for a regular monthly match. State and regional matches are usually 60x60 and the Championship match is 80x80. I have been shooting NRA and IHMSA silhouette for over 20 years.

When I wanted to start my website, I couldn't think of a name for it.  I was considering buying a new shotgun at the time, so I was reading the forum Shotgunworld.com

I never joined the forum, just read a lot of good stuff about shotguns.  Obviously, I wanted my website to be primarily about handguns, because my knowledge of shotguns and rifles was pretty limited.  Then it hit me, if www.shotgunworld.com was about shotguns, why can't my website be www.handgunworld.com? At first, I wasn't going to do a podcast, I was going to start a forum called www.handgunworld.com.  When I did the website search, much to my surprise, www.handgunworld.com was not taken.  So I bought the domain name.  Then I sat on it for a few weeks and did nothing.  Once I decided to do a podcast, I already had the domain name, so I though, what the heck, I'll call it HandgunWorld Show.  There you have it.

I am an Oklahoma State Alumni and their mascot is the Cowboys which we refer to as the pokes as in "Go Pokes".  Being an Okie, I do not do anything fast.  The name slowpoke seemed appropriate.

Magoo was a nickname I picked up on the bus on the way to church camp 20+ years ago, apparently I looked like a guy named Magee, but Magoo fit better  Huh  Like so many uncool nicknames it stuck.  541 is the area code I live in, basically anywhere in Oregun except Portland.

Basically mine came from my days in the good ol BSA (Boy Scouts of America). My troop was extremely competitive at a game called capture the flag. We took every advantage we could get. So I came across these things called ghillie suits. I started making one for myself and it was so successful that I kept making them for other guys or for different environments. The name came about when one night I was kneeling next to a tree when one of the opposing team knelt down next to me and rested his hand on my head. He was quite startled when the "bush" he had just been leaning against stood up and tagged him out Cheesy, thus walkingbush. I have since come to believe that saying who I am helps prevent the tendency to say things behind the anonymity of a screen name. I now sign my real name on forum posts.

Well, I have really been involved with airguns for many years (since  age 12, and I'm now 48) .  Collecting, shooting, and perfecting wood grips for the airguns that come stock with plastic grips.  I hate plastic on guns (even airguns).

Now there you go, CF! You have a gun I don't - a Colt Woodsman. I actually have one in the safe, but it belongs to my godson, whose stuff I have in my safe, as he moved to San Diego and didn't want to drag all his guns out there.

But a Woodsman is one heck of a gun. I've been letting my wife shoot my godson's and it has taught me how to take it apart - not quite a trivial task. I really like the thing.

Actually, it's my Father's.  I get to shoot it, and clean it, for sufficient toadyism.   Roll Eyes

At least when I get that Saturday morning call; "Get your disinherited @$$ over here!", I know there's an upside.   Cheesy

I'm slated to inherit it; hopefully in many, many more years.  It is truly a wonderful little shooter.  My favorite pistol.

It's the name I used for years, on Mustang sites I used to frequent.

It came from a comment my neighbor made when I brought this car home...

which, over a few years, I turned into this.

Mines easy, its the name of my podcast. Most other places my handle is usually some combination of my first and last initials and whatever cartridge is my flavor of the month.
