Short for "Shoot for the stars."

I'm new to shooting, and I'm a HUGE science nerd, especially for Astronomy.

I used to play a class based, team FPS WWII game called Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory back when I was in college.  A bunch of my buddies and I were able to "somehow" use the University's network & resources to host a dedicated server at one of our campus apartments.  The game allowed for names to be a certain length, and I wanted a long name and wanted it to be pink so everyone would know who finished them off.  I love food and have always used food as my gamer tags.  I chose Cornedbeef&Cabbage as my tag because it was close to the max character length, and it was near St. Patrick's day, and I had a craving for some.  Since I was one of the server admins, my name got shortened to Cornmaster which evolved to Cornmastah.  I have been using that tag for all my games now, as well as forums.

Nick name I was given many years ago for the usual reason. I also go by EMS_Monkey on other forums for the same reason combined with the face that I am an emergency medical technician. Once I get my paramedic the name will probably change to Para_monkey or something of the sort.

My girlfriend calls me that. It's a play on my first name. On Xbox LIVE, I'm Arcamigo which includes part of my middle name.

I've carried the nickname Loki for better than half my life.  Something to do with a love of bad pranks, I guess.  Unfortunately, trying to sign on to any kind of forum as Loki is well-nigh impossible, or was for a while, hence the "dude."  I've been using it for so long now that changing it would be less than practical.

My name is Tim.  The last name is not pronounceable.  I had a co-worker who even gave up and named me Matt Meckley using bits of old name tags of engineers who had left the company.  My job requires extensive work with NASA engineers who also could never read my last name correctly. Within NASA there is an award given out for safety called the Silver Snoopy award. Being a fan of Charlie Brown I kept a stuffed snoopy on my desk. After one of the astronauts saw my name he began to call me SilverBeagle and I could not get away from it, so after several months of protest I accepted it.

Waffenmeister is german for weapons master. Der Waffenmeister is the armorer in the German military. It is one of my many army nicknames. They call me that because I am studying german and I've been begging my unit to send me to armorer school.

Well, a few years back, I guess you'd call it a mid life crisis, I took up white water kayaking (thinking now or never). Although I can really relate to not2late's name too. Just bought my first real guns in last 6 months or so. Smiley

Well, I was going to say I'll give you three guesses, but if I had put the word, "Bitter" in front, it would have made things a little more clear.

Well, I suppose I could come up with some smashingly intelligent reason for my moniker, but It just seems to fit my state of late, with work, and my re entering the academic world again after 30 or so years, my mind wanders before it turns to mush and runs out of my ears...

My last name is Grim. Thus everytime I get a new job or posting, or attend a new school/training facility, I have "Reaper" attached to my name. Usually I've earned this attachment at some point through some kind action in training or other endeavor. The "63" part of my user name is something that those who know do, those who don't know don't need to worry about. It is not to be a jerk, it is just kind of a job identifier that those I've worked with in parts south of here would recognize if they were involved.
It is nice to be here on the forum. I have been a guest on the Handgun Podcast a few times on a few subjects, so some of you might know who I am.
