Really enjoyed your and Grim's take on AR vs the Shotgun in Podcast 140.  And really appreciate the underlying wisdom of there being many aspects to the problem of self defense, many different parameters, and therefore, a plethora of essentially correct answers; at the very least one per person.  

I liked the give and take, as it gives me a load of info in the examination of my personal solution: a Mossberg 590, traditional full stock, TLR-1 light, and a bandolier of 50 rounds ranging from 2.75" low recoil 4/0 Buck to 3" full zoot slugs.  At one time the Mossy sported a pistol grip: info from the GRRN podcasts and forums, as well as watching a tactical goober trying to shoot one at the range, corrected that lil' blonde attack.
