This is a fantastic plug-in/extension. It allows you to send items that you would normally read in your browser to your Kindle.

I obviously go through anywhere between 50 and 80 news articles a week about gun rights and technology. "Send to Kindle" allows me to send the articles to my Kindle so that I can read them in my free time. Which is very helpful because I only have a Wi-Fi version.

It's available for Safari, Firefox, Opera, IE9: http://www.klip.me/

and for iPhone/Android users:

I've been saving what I want to read on my kindle to .txt files and emailing them to my kindle via the addresses the plug-in uses, but it looks like the plug-in really automates it nicely. Well done. PDFs can also be sent and converted to a format that the kindle can read out loud (.txt's don't have to be converted), just type "convert" in the subject heading when attaching them to your email. If sending to the free address there is no charge for conversion, and the 3G address charge is minimal so I often use it.

Lee,

I heard that quite a few times from other Kindle users. And have even seen it as a secret on some websites. It's not really much of a secret because it's actually in the manual that is preloaded on your Kindle when you purchased it. I actually didn't purchase a book right away after I received mine and spent time reading the owner's manual. Pretty much a first, reading the owner's manual.

Thanks Mark. I didn't know about the free.kindle.com addresses.

Indeed. Glossed over that one. I had "looked" at the manual when I first got it but certainly didn't read it. Chapter 8. Tells all about personal doc conversion and emailing.
