What are peoples thoughts about the Republican primary candidates? Who is the strongest on Gun Rights? I know Ron Paul's voting history, but not much about the other candidates, especially Herman Cain and Gary Johnson.

Way too early to start thinking of candidates.  By the time voting comes around we may have a whole new batch to choose from.

We need to do a "temporary" lifting of the requirement to be a natural born citizen ---

And then draft Bebe Netanyahu for Prez!!! What an address to Congress! SO much better than anything I've heard in the last couple years. Here, finally, was a guy FOR the United States!

It's nice to know that the Israelis haven't lost their focus!

I missed the speech, but I keep hearing good things about it. Maybe he would be a good president, after every speech you could yell Yahu!!

I agree.  There may be some players in the wings we aren't aware of yet.  The GOP may be sandbagging a strong candidate and just running a misdirection strategy to see how the Dems are going react to different candidates. Then tailor a plan on based on what the Dems show.

Oh, Lordy!

You assign WAY too much thinking and strategising to the republican party. They seem to barely know how to tie their shoes. Look how well they have put forth their ideas all these years. Seems it took a new group, the Tea Party, to get ANY conservative ideas out there.

Looking at the republican "field" is like herding cats.

Ron Paul is the one I'm rooting for. The rest seem to be toting the party line. I think beating Obama will be tough because he has all the media in his pocket. He is basically a rock star that can do no wrong in their book. I think Obama's next campaign slogan could be "USA - Going Out With Style!" and the liberals would still vote for him and cheer.

I'm kinda getting fed up with all government owes me mentality that is out there. 100 years ago people took care of themselves and their own communities. I've worked a full time job since I was 13 years old and went to school post grad, yet most of "Owe me's" sit around all day waiting for their hand outs on the third of the month.

I know 1 president can't solve everything, but it would be nice to have someone who was willing to try...

Like Ron Paul's domestic ideas; dislike his foreign ideas.

I suspect he isn't going to win but I suspect Michelle Bachman could. She, too, is a strong conservative. She has been against some of the "compromises" that have been put through that have ended up being mostly window dressing. I think she would be willing to do what has to be done for the nation, and probably do a good job on foreign policy. Besides, makes it harder to defeat her since she's a woman. The libs will have to look much more like the hipocrates that they are.

They had no problem attacking Sara Palin. Their ideals vary depending on the circumstance.

He already said NO. When asked, he did not rule out a congressional run though. He hinted that he was considering it.
