Laugh at the Bastards!!!

« on: October 09, 2011, 11:59:28 PM »

Just got back from a SASS match.  There, some pards are encouraging me to get out the Glock and really embarrass myself at a PPC shoot.  It does sound like fun.

The local club is a little loose about rules and such, so they're just telling me to "Buy a holster, any ol' holster."  But nothing too spacy.  Most of their stuff seem to be Kydex, and a real dog's breakfast of manufacturers.

Got any suggestions? Manufacturers? Hot tips?

The Powerfactor Show has some good information on holsters and belts for all shooting sports.  Check out their videos.  I'm sure Steve will chime in too.

Saw the PowerFactor holster show. Good stuff.  If I remember correctly, and that's a big if, Steve and Calib discussed materials more than manufacturers.  I think Fobus was mentioned.  Good starting point?

Fobus should actually work OK for a standard auto or 4" revolver. I've never seen one for a long barrel revolver.

For something that will take a monster barrel PPC revolver with sight rib, I'd go Safariland.

Enjoy, and tell us how the match went.

best,
Mas
