You could get a GunDudes lower from Daniels Defense....

He could I guess, except the gun dudes lowers are not made by Daniel Defense

Daniel Defense does not currently sell stripped lowers.  They did briefly but not anymore.  Only way to get a DD lower is to buy a complete lower (or rifle obviously)

EDIT:  OP I would not discourage anyone from building a rifle.  That being said, it's often hard to know what parts you want or what you might want to change if you haven't used a basic rifle and taken the time to see what works for you and what doesn't for your specific needs.  It might be beneficial to buy a base gun, see how it works for you and then decide based on your uses which rail, flash hider or other wiz-bang gadget to get or not get.  You'd be hard pressed to find a better starting point value than this

For whatever reason I cannot register on Head Down Products. It takes me to another page that reads  "the site's security certificate has expired".
Does anyone know why this is? Are they still in business?
