I just recently picked up a Sony Walkman Digital Media player (NWZ-S544) on clearance and I am blown away by it. Easy to use, great sound and most importantly, I've been listening to podcasts and FM radio on it nearly 8 hours a day since I got it Friday night last week (it's now a Tuesday) and I'm sitting at 90% charge with no recharges in between. Amazing battery life!

If you're looking for an MP3 player that's not an iPod, check out the Sony line!

Personally, I prefer Zune's over iPods, but if you don't want either, Sony's are nice.  I had one go through the washer/dryer twice, and its still going strong.

From what I've seen, I think I would like the Zune player. But cost factored into it. The only Zune's I've seen are $200 or so and I wanted to go less than 100. I got the Sony for $79 and I think it is great for the price.

Hey EM, What podcast aggregator are you using?

My 3rd Gen dinoPod Nano is showing signs of dementia. Maybe time to escape the soft nannish embrace of iTunes.

Nothing beats an iPod Touch / iPhone but I have seen one of those Sony Digital Walkmans and they are pretty cool!

I can beat any iOS device with a hammer. Tongue

All joking aside I much prefer Android to iOS and for pure mp3 playback I'd rather have one of the older ipods than the touch. I had the touch and it was cool but I gave it to the lady when I got my Droid.
