Inspired by Episode 32 of TGN plus a good sale at Cheaper than Dirt last week I ordered a Diamondback DB9 and picked it up tonight.  Being unable to find one locally to check out I decided to take a chance on it sight unseen.  So far I have to say I am pretty amazed by how tiny the thing is.  The trigger feels slightly gritty as compared to a Glock trigger and the reset seems to be almost all the way let out.  So it won't be as good as a Glock trigger on it (not that I was expecting it to be).  It has more of a beaver tail than a Glock which is nice as with a pistol this small it seems like it would be easy to get slide bite.

Takedown is identical to the Glock.  Press the trigger, give it an armorer's grip and slide down the 2 tabs.  I saw someone complaining on the internet that this was difficult but it felt about equal to my glock.  The mag release is a little small but not to bad to get to with my hand then it has to be pressed pretty far in.  Anyway I will report back after shooting it or else maybe just call in the report to the barstool.

My wife's pretty impressed by the DB9 she saw in a LGS in the people's republic of NYS. We live very close to the PA/NY border.

Darned shame she couldn't have test fired it. If she liked it, I'd've bought it Johnny on the spot!
