Hello,
Thanks for checking out my little area of the forum. My name is Walt White and I live in Berks County, Pennsylvania. I grew up in Philadelphia and had virtually no exposure to firearms growing up. It wasn't until about five years ago that I fired a gun for the first time. When the trigger broke and the rifle recoiled into my shoulder, a wide smile spread across my face. I have been hooked ever since.
As most new shooters, I started off slow and made infrequent trips to the local range. For years I was completely content on shooting from a static position at a paper target. One day I came across a video on Youtube and was introduced to the wonderful world of practical shooting. Before long at I attended my first USPSA match and have fallen in love with the sport. I shot my fifth match in November and am eager for the shooting season to come back around in March/April.
In 2005 I started a cigar blog with a friend (
Stogie Review). What set us apart from the variety of other blogs was our use of video in our reviews. Over the years our review site gained momentum and I became completely immersed in the hobby. After a few years I began to get a little burned out and needed an outlet for the non-cigar related things in my life. This is where
WaltInPA.com was born.
Over the years my blog has been a place for me to put anything that came across my mind. The more interested in a subject I became, the more the blog became modeled to that subject. As my passion for guns developed, my blog began to focus more and more on the hobby. Over the past year, the blog has been primarily gun content.
After discovering the Gun Rights Radio Network earlier this year, I decieded to try my hand at a podcast. After all, it was just like a cigar review, only focused on guns and much longer. How hard could it be

The first few episodes were tough but I genuinely enjoyed doing them. Week after week, for the past 21 weeks, I have been putting together episodes and loving it. I've been told that I have a conversational style, mostly because I try to keep things light. Each show contains banter, news, interesting stuff I found on the web, and a cigar and drink pairing. I've struggled with nailing down a consistent timeframe but I try to keep it to under an hour. Episodes are available as both audio and video formats.
