Hey Ken,
It is a SBR Sig Sauer 516 Gas Push rod gun with a 10" upper mounted with an Aimpoint Comp M4s, Samson fixed rear and Daniel Defense fixed front back ups irons. It runs a Hogue over-mold grip and a Larue forward hand-stop. The light is an InSight variant with O/W/IR options and a flip up cover. The muzzle break is a standard AR break with a XS-Sight Glass tool. What is missing from the pic is the Blue Force Gear Vickers Tactical Sling.
The other upper is a 16" Sig Sauer 516 Gas Push Rod upper with a standard break and a Trijicon 1-4 x 24 yellow dot, German Crosshair optic using the fiber optic collector for the illumination of the dot. I have been consistently accurate with that upper from 10 to 600 yards. It is a bit slower at the closer distances, but I will be adding some offset irons as soon as UPS shows up.
I teach with both of the uppers depending on the class. The 10" has a little over 17K and the 16" is up to 21K now. No signs of key-holing or group spread on either one yet. I'm expecting about 25K out of each barrel. I used to run a suppressor on the 10" version, but it just got too gassy so I switched back to the standard set up on the front end. It makes it easier to teach the bullets on vehicles class with the glass tool.
If you haven't had a chance to try one the XS-Sights Glass tools yet, I strongly encourage it. I was first exposed to it by some folks from the bearded army when I was working in your neck of the woods. It made checkpoints much easier. Can't see in... push on the glass and solve the problem.
I have a Sig Sauer M400 that I use as a truck gun. It is the DI variant and has a bit over 9K through it so far. It just has the typical MOE set up and a Comp M4s with fixed Daniel Defense BUIS and an InSight M6. It's my too lazy to carry the full kit kind of gun.
Thank you for the work you're putting in over there.
Stay Safe!

Sig M400 with Aimpoint CompM4s, Daniel Defense Fixed BUIS, MOE & VLTOR Furniture, LaRue hand stop, Blue Force Gear Vicker's Sling, Surefire X300 mounted on the A2 post and Ambi Safety. It's a DI gun and it runs flawlessly.

Robinson Arms XCR in 6.8 SPC & 5.56 barrel ready to go. EoTech XPS 3.0. Have you worked with the 6.8 a lot? What do you think of it? Shot 300+ rounds through it. Love it. Groups 1/2" @ 100 yards. Might do better if I had magnifier. I'll extend my range after getting one. Friend who is retired SF is anxious to shoot it due to his experience with testing it. His experience was negative, but probably due to Remington ammo that uses large primers (gathered from our lengthy discussions). Ammo is expensive, but I reload. Deals can be had at SSA. I like the heavier round (110-130 v. 55-75), & I can imagine you'd agree given your experience. I'll buy 7.62x39 conversion kit as well. If your ever in MD, you're welcome to shoot it. Thank you for your service!

Thank you!
I'm torn between the 6.8 and the 300 AAC. I want a heavier projectile too.

Another army buddy asked "why invent a new .30 when the 7.62x39 has been there for years." + it's cheaper.
