I carry a hunter that Erik made, and have to tell you that it is not only beautiful but fits well in hand, and guts a deer exceptionally well. Man makes really nice stuff. I am pleased to see you include him in your list.

But you most likely know that there are many, many fine knife makers in the US. Indeed, I have to say that it seems to me that the best knife makers ARE American. I have seen little from Europe that I found interesting.

Dev, I interviewed Erik and 2 other master bladesmiths on Episode 161.  I met all 3 of them at the American Bladesmith Society seminar and show a week ago.  Erik is sending me a knife soon, I may be able to help a lucky listener win it!

I love to look at these high end knives and some day would like to buy one. They are works of art for sure.

Some of them I saw at the show were not very expensive. Some of Erik Fritz's EDC knives were only $150 and they were very high quality and custom made.
