So I took apart my 10/22 last weekend and installed the Volquartsen Match Hammer and Sear set (and a Volquartsen Auto-bolt release).
This is the product I got: https://www.volquartsen.com/products/181-match-hammer-and-sear-for-10-22-and-10-22-magnumhttps://www.volquartsen.com/products/158-automatic-bolt-release
I ordered them off of Midway USA. A lot of people also go with the Volquartsen Exact Edge Extractor, but given that my 10/22 has never had a failure to extract it didn't seem necessary at this time.
The Packaging indicated that the hammer and sear are from the TG2000 trigger group that they sell so if you wanted to get that feel without that money it is a good way to go. I found that my ruger hammer had the bushings machined into the metal, where as the Volq doesn't so I had to use their hammer bushings in it. Both the hammer and sear look highly polished. They also included a new trigger spring as well as a new hammer spring. I had ordered the whole hammer/strut unit separately as I didn't realize that the new one would come with a different hammer spring so I ran that, but I Am pretty sure it is the same spring so save yourself the $10 and use the one in the hammer kit (it will require removing a c clip to get the old one off).
I have to say I am really impressed with the feel of the trigger now, it has gotten very light and smooth. Also the bolt release isn't nearly so annoying to set and unlock, now you just pull back on the bolt and it will unlock.
Anyway I would highly recommend people take a look at both upgrades I think it really makes for a much better experience with the rifle. That being said I haven't gotten it out to the range yet as I ran out of time over the weekend, but I will report back how it runs if I can get over there on Sunday.
