Yeah, perpetuating myths for the detriment of all.

This whole "waiting period because you're mad" issue has no data to stand behind it whatsoever. OTOH, there is plenty of data to show that people that suddenly might find themselves in need of a weapon are deprived of it for the waiting period, and some end up dead of badly injured where having a firearm might have saved them all that.

But let's not let facts stand in the way of idiotic thinking.
