For the first time in 31 Episodes, my Shooting the Breeze Gun Podcast was late. Long story short, I came down sick and wasn't able to produce the podcast on time (I was genuinely bummed out about that).

I tried to keep it shorter than usual and treat Episode 32 as a filler episode to hold you over until Episode 33 is posted on Tuesday.

I start off by talking about my busy weekend of shooting and coming down sick.

In the news, the one and only item I had queued up was a piece on Maryland Gun Law being deemed unconstitutional.

For featured content, I have a rather large piece on Philadelphia's Mayor Nutter under fire for his illegal gun lost / stolen ordinance. I close out this segment by talking about a rather foolish 'Pocket Blank Pistol" that I came across on the PAFOA forum.

The Cigar and Drink pairing consists of an EP Carrillo New Wave Corona and a cup of Dunkin' Donuts Coffee.

I close out the episode by talking about the recent signing of Jessie Harrison to Team TAURUS.

Thats Jessie Harrison-Duff to you mister! :-)  I'll have to tune in and see what your thoughts are on it.

I'm still confused how she went from Jessie Abbate to a hyphenated Harrison-Duff.

Not to spoil it, but I think her teaming up with Taurus is great for the brand and competitive shooting.

I'm looking forward to hearing what you think about it.

Well I think you're right about one thing, she won't be shooting a Taurus gun, she'll be shooting a STI with a Taurus logo on the slide much like Max Michael shoots a STI gun with a Sig logo on the slide. This to me sorta seems like Ford entering Formula 1 racing and putting their emblem on a Ferrari chassis/motor. False advertising I'df you asked me.

I don't agree with your belief that her joining Taurus will bring any new shooters into the sport. I don't think it will change a thing one way or another...and it's not because she joined Taurus, I just don't think people will care. Randi Rodgers leaving Glock and going to CompTac holsters says more about what's going on at Glock...buts that's about as much as it says.

Google Billy Abbate and Team Glock and it will make a whole lot more sense.

This.

I think it is good that Taurus is getting into the game so to speak. I am not a fan but I guess anytime someone can get a company to pay for their shooting it is a good thing. There will be some who have no idea what Jessie will be shooting. This may make them buy a Taurus, I just hope it runs for them.
Now I have shot a 24/7 and while it worked fine and I liked to shoot it. It just didn't seem or feel like a quality gun in my hand.
I wish Jessie and Taurus all the best though.

I read about that when the news broke but I didn't realize that it was her husband. I also didn't know that shortly before that she was shooting for Team Glock.

One shooter busted for molesting a child, loosing then Jessie Abbate, losing Dave Sevigney, executives stealing millions of dollars, and now losing Randi Rogers, it really does make you wonder....
