I was thinking about the recent products on the market and all of a sudden I felt attracted to my revolvers. I come from having revolvers and SA for so long and transitioning from one to another in the last 27 years.
When I remember the reasons that made me buy my first 17+1 SA I clearly recall how amazed I was by the capacity on those. Now that I see little pocket pistols offered, some in 5 rds of 45ACP I tend to look at the revolvers and clearly see myself carrying a good old 357 with 6 rds. Does anyone share the same feeling?

I have no issues with revolvers and think the micro guns have their place.  That being said I am willing to compromise much in my manner of dress to carry a substantial firearm.  That usually means a double column striker fired gun so I personally find a revolver a certain compromise.  I have carried a Kel-Tec P3AT as a BUG before but I try not to carry it as a stand alone.  I have carried a 3" N-Frame as a primary and didnt feel naked in public or anything (I did it as part of the revolver challenge that was on the forum a while back).

Not a thing in the world wrong with a revolver or the new generation of micro-autos, just not how I roll these days.

Smiley You are right. A double stack mag is a way better option. My carry from fall to spring is the XD-45C. When Summer comes I find my CW-9 and the J-frame to be a more concealable option. To be honest with you my CW-9 7+1 with the Trijicon sights could fill the all year round carry role. I have a P32 with Buffalo bore +P always with me, for when  "I am not armed". But I think I am not going to try 45's in single stacks.

My downsized pistol is a Diamond Back DB9.  While having less power than a .357 Mag I like that for 6+1 rounds of 9mm it is extremely thin and light.  I can carry it behind my hip IWB in the car and it is comfortable and not digging into my back, it rides comfortably in a desantis nemasis pocket holster and looks like my wallet if I carry it in my front pocket like that.  All in all it is pretty convenient for a small package.

I have never been a revolver person so there is my bias, but one thing I don't like about revolvers is the cylinder bulge.  The nice part of a SA is they can be very flat.
