Hey there to all the ProArms gang!

First I wanted to say how much I enjoy your podcast, and I'm working hard to catch up on all the past episodes. I have especially enjoyed your episode that focus on specific firearms, like the Hi-power, and Snubbies. What about an episode on CZ pistols which I feel are still truly under appreciated by all but those who have shot them. I'm sure Chris C. could give some excellent insight as it's been mention on several occasions that he has considerable experience with CZ 85's.

I'm currently looking to buy the 75D PCR compact pistol to take compliment my SW 442 as my primary carry pistol and would love to hear what Chris has to say.

Keep up the great work and I hope to work in a visit the shop the next time I'm back in Florida.

Yep, Chris has kicked some significant butt with his "Commie Gun."  Grin

The CZs are on the list for future podcast topics.

Sir,

I look forward to hearing what you both have to say about those "Commie Guns", I have been fascinated by them since borrowing one from a friend several years ago. My current carry pistol is a tried and true "snubbie" S&W 442, though while living in central FL I carried my XDm 9mm when visiting family in the wilds of Ocala. I have been looking for both a full sized CZ 75BD, and the Compact 75D PCR for sometime to use as both carry and IDPA pistols. There is something about the ergonomics that I do not get from most other pistols.

As an aside I am currently reading your Guide to Concealed Carry and want to say thank you for sharing your vast knowledge with the next generation of shooters. I'm sorry to say that while I spent the last eight years in central Florida, I never had the time or money to attend LFI before moving to Michigan this past December. A situation I hope to correct in the not so distant future.

I look forward to the next ProArms podcast.

I can testify to how well Chris shoots the CZ. He is very comfortable behind that trigger.

We just finished the podcast that will include the CZ75 series discussion, led of course by Chris.  Stay tuned while the PrEditor finds time to edit that cast.  Should be available before long.

I remember o/a #28 when you guys discussed the BHP.  One of the group said that the CZ75 was influenced by the BHP.  I have short fingers, and I wondered if you could comment on the trigger reach.  From CZ'a website, the P01 is a next gen CZ 75.  I have handled the P01, but the trigger reach was too long for me.  Is the 75's trigger reach more akin to the BHP or the P01?

Thanks,

The CZ75 has a pretty long trigger reach.

Podcast

We had most of the gang down to shoot the Florida State IDPA match at Wyoming Antelope Club in Clearwater, Florida so we decided to record a podcast.  We were down there without the intrepid Steve to guide us but we muddled along and somehow got this together. We talk about the match, shooting when injured or hurting, shoes, sights, CZs, ammo and a whole lot more.

Great 'cast.  Really good to hear from Team John's Lawn Equipment again.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about buying the CZ 455 American combo. Everything I've read has CZ's rimfire rifles as the equal of their pistols in quality, accuracy, and value. Any comments/ concerns?

Mr Ayoob,

I agree I've had my wife handle a couple of the full sized 75's I've looked at and she said the same thing. The trigger reach on the compacts like the 75D, 75D PCR, and PO-1 are not to bad though.

Hey All,

Just finished listening to episode #73, and wanted to say Thank You to Chris for his feedback on CZ's. I'm still looking for a 75D PCR but I've found a couple of full size 75BD's and  PO-1's that I might settle for.

One other question Chris, Have you ever used the .22 LR CZ kadet adapter in any of your CZ's?

Thanks for the podcast. I listened Friday night after a harrowing day at work. I couldn't get it right (braindead, exhausted), but it was cool to hear Chris. I'll definately relisten as time allows. I did want to take a moment and say thanks, even though I remember little.

For Aiden...

Gail,
All I can say is that I haven't used their .22 conversion unit, but given the quaility I've seen from their other products I figure it would work well.
Chris

addendum: I screwed up and posted this in the wrong thread but since it all seems to be on the same topic I am merging these two threads talking about CZs together.

Great podcast. I think I lived less than 2 miles from that club and never knew it. It was before my "gun times."
