2013 NRA Meeting in Houston - Plans Afoot!

O'tay, this year's NRA Annual Meeting (NRAAM) looked like it was an absolute blast. 74k attended according to Cam Edwards. Next year's NRAAM is going to be in Houston, May 3 - 5th. I wanna go!  The NRA is sure not coming to Kalifornia, and Houston isn't tooooooo far away. 

Need a ground guide: Which venue? I'd guess there's not too many that can accommodate 80k gun gnuts. Houston Texan's Stadium? Any good hotels near-by that won't break the bank? I'd like to reserve as soon as possible. Anything else to be aware of? Other areas of interest? The wifey is talking about extending the trip to sight-see.

I am hoping to make it next year, we shall see if I can or not.  But when it is only a 5 hour drive away I can't imagine it is ever going to get much better than that for location.

Wow Bob! I knew you had a really big audience, but Reliant Stadium? (just kidding, but had to poke fun) I sincerely hope that some day GRRN listeners can fill a stadium.

I will be in Houston as well and am looking forward to meeting everyone.

I don't think we know the venue yet.  The NRA website doesn't specifiy.  If the show is at Reliant Stadium, I have some hotel customers of mine near there.  I'll work out a deal with one of them.  Let's see what the venue is first.
