  Let's say you are in the mood for a new gun. Then you watch this movie. What kind of gun you going to buy based on what you just watched? Certainly not a revolver. Now imagine you were born in the 80's and this the only kind o weapon you'd see in movies. Yes, movies affect the gun market and consumer behavior. I was born in the 60's  and I used to watch westerns and C. Bronson's movies.  I think that explains why my inventory holds 50/50 Semi and revolvers. I love guns. Looking forward to this one next week.

I was born in the 40's, grew up on westerns. My favorite gun is still the old Colt SAA - and of course a lever. Carried in totally unauthentic holsters, but those were the shows then. BUT I have learned to love the 1911. Got a number of different types of examples, and still enjoy just about all of them. Although I won't get a gun that looks butt-ugly.

Jason Stratham has made a name for himself in action flicks. He does a really great job of choreography of the scenes, and is highly athletic (or his double is) so the scenes are almost Jon Wu-like. This seems kind of a remake of an old movie with Bruce Willis protecting a young boy who can crack any code. Alec Baldwin is the BG CIA type who wants the kid dead, and Willis protects him. This looks to be a good show to look for.

You hit the nail in the head. That Bruce Willis movie is about the same story. Back in the 80's the best we could get from action-police-drama were performed by Willis, Gibson and Segal.
I had a  nostalgia crisis last week and with my son's help, who's also a single action revolver fan, ended up buying a plinker. We brought home a Heritage Rough Rider in 22LR/22WMR. Man I almost forgot how much fun it is shooting one of those. The 1911 in 45 cal is in my bucket list. I have an XD 45 Compact which I carry mostly Winter time.
