Liked the show. And I liked the music.

Pretty soon you will be building a recording studio like Doc and adding it onto your barn.

After litening to your podcast about the BC-50, I decided to purchase a bottle and try it out.  I have always used Hoppe's Copper Solvent and Hoppe's No. 9 Solvent to clean the bores of my firearms, and have always been satisfied with the way Hoppe's has worked for me.  So, when I received the BC-50, I got out two of my handguns which I had already cleaned using Hoppe's and cleaned the bores of each again using the BC-50.  I was amazed at the additional carbon and copper fouling that the BC-50 was able to remove!  I should have taken pictures of the patches to show you, but didn't think about it until later.  Looks like BC-50 is now the bore cleaner that I will be using on all my firearms in the future.  Thanks for bringing this product to my attention!

I left a post regarding the BC-50 (great product), but I also wanted to say that I am planning on trying out the Pb-Blocker also.  I reload and shoot 38 Special, 44 Special, and 45 ACP using cast bullets and have to work hard to get all the Pb fouling out of the bores.  I use the Lewis Lead Remover to help get the lead out occaissionally, but would like to find a better way to clean the barrels.  The Pb-Blocker sounds promising.

Hey, I just wanted to followup regarding the Pb-Blocker.  So far I have treated the barrel of my 1911 and the barrel of my Ruger Blackhawk (357/38) and Super Blackhawk.  I have about 250 rounds of 200-grain LSWC through the 1911.  It is cut the cleanup time down to at least half the time it used to take.  I use to get leading at the end of the chamber and it would take several scrubbings with solvent and bronze brush to remove.  The few times I have shot the 1911 post-treatment with Pb-Blocker, I have not noticed any leading.  I haven't shot the Rugers yet, so I can't report on how it works in a revolver platform.  So far I am happy with the results in the 1911.  The one thing I do not know at this time is how oftern I will need to re-treat the barrel.

Good question. To be blunt, I've never been told how often to treat my barrels.

I will say this, however, I ran about 2,000 rounds of nothing but Cast Boolits through my treated Dan Wesson, WITHOUT CLEANING IT. In .357 Magnum cases. The gun was so dirty I was having trouble with putting the rounds in the chambers. I finally cleaned the poor thing. After roughly 2,000 rounds I had absolutely no lead or leading!!!

My guess? Treat it when you clean it.
