I am planning to add a light to my home gun (which I also wear fairly often). Not decided on brand yet, but want to start looking at holster options.

Any good ideas for a right-handed OWB holster that will stay pretty close into the body and accommodate a light? I want to make sure it also doesn't have any nubs that your middle finger will hit on the draw. I've had problems with that on a cheap Fobus holster that I have used. I plan to carry on my right side at around 3 o'clock.

I see that Comp-Tac has one (I have 2 M-TACs and am happy with those), but I also want to look at other options.

Check out Raven Concealment Phantom.  I think they were one of the first to make holsters for guns with lights.  I also heard that Jason @ Concealment Solutions is going to start making hoslters for guns with lights.

Nice holster, Bob. I like it. I will probably order it today. Now I just have to decide on whether to go for the full length Glock 17 model that would work for both the 19 and 17 or stick with the smaller one. You can never have too many holsters???  Roll Eyes

I have a Raven Concealment for a Kel-Tec and love it.  You can buy hooks, belt loops, or extensions (to make it more like a three slot holster fit).  I carry mine IWB and love it.  They make a holster for just about any weapon and light.

For a light I really like the Insight Technology M3 or X3 light because of the way its activated.  There is a rocker switch on both sides.  Push the rocker switch one way and it's momentary on and the other way its on.  It sounds kind of complicated but once it's on the pistol it was super easy.  Streamlight makes almost the same light but I like the M3 or X3 better.

One thing most people don't think about carrying a light on a pistol all the time, is that it will slow down your draw, especially if you buy a light that sticks out past the end of the barrel.  It also makes the gun harder to conceal.  Overseas I carried an Streamlight on my Glock all the time.

Thanks for your input, Ben. It is good detail to know. I did order it. Now I only have another 18 weeks to wait!

I got the Streamlight TLR-1.  I am happy with it, but it's just gonna sit around until the holster gets here. In the meantime, I just ordered a Galco ankle holster for my 26. Let the pile of holsters form. I've never had an ankle rig, so I hope I like it.

I practiced with a separate light and didn't like the results. I think a weapon mounted light is better if you actually need to shoot.

Raven holsters appear to hug close to your body.

Does anyone know if Jason @ CS make holsters for guns with lights attached?  I didnt see one on his website.
