The state of Arkansas has deemed that January 20, 2009 is buy a gun day. That means every year a proud American goes out and buys a gun on this date. I held my part of the bargain and bought a Glock 17 with Crimson Laser Grips, 2 spare mags, and a partridge in a pair tree.

If only I lived in Arkansas... we need such a day in PA.
And why is Arkansas pronounced "are-can-saw" but Kansas is pronounced "can-zus".
Why isn't it "are-can-zus" or "can-saw", inquiring demented minds want to know!???

I know with Arkansas it is a white pronunciation of a Native American name and not sure on Kansas. I have only lived in California, Arkansas, and Missouri.
