The land of the free. That phrase is becoming a farce. While I agree training is important and the path of a responsible person. I'm tired of the infringements. I should not be required to pass a test or training to own an automatic weapon. We don't need a new law every time some one has a "newer safer" idea. We as citizens need accountability and responsability for our actions. We don't need new laws to sooth someones emotions.

The resistance to training amazes me. We seem to tolerate a lecture class and shooting training to get a CCW permit In most states but not for auto weapons? While I agree we should not need to have to get a permit at all, consider the money making scam one has to go through now, to own a full auto! Furthermore you have a long waiting period. It could be simplified by eliminating that bogus method we have now, and replacing it with a simple safety course that everyone needs anyway.
Accountability and Responsibility disappeared in our culture long ago.
Why not have a better trained gun owning population?

Why not require parenting training
And have a better parenting population. Why not require training to buy fireworks. Why not require training to exploding targets. We can do training for all sorts of things that may make sense. My point is we must let people live their lives, make choices and be responsible for their decisions. We can make a law for everything. Do we really want or need all these restrictive nanny state laws?

I don't want the govt telling me I need training, BUT I have no problem with the gun community convincing me to be responsible, such as the interviews with Mr. Ayoob.
