I think the question asker was dead on right.  What on earth was his wife thinking carrying an INFANT into the fight?

... oh, and Alex just said almost the exact same thing just now (I'm listening right now).  Good grief!  It could've turned ugly if that man had to get into the fight and use deadly force to extricate his wife and infant child from getting seriously injured or killed.
