Episode 50 Kicks off with the realization that the next episode marks the one year anniversary of the Shooting The Breeze Podcast. It wouldn't be a proper podcast if I wasn't prodding my listeners / viewers to enter my contest for a signed copy of SHOOT by Julie Golob.

In the news, we kick things off with an opinion piece in the New York Times discussing how to get out of the Gun Control Stalemate. Up next, a man on line at Walmart shoots himself in the buttock, then takes off running.  This segment is closed out with news of a California Court reinstating a civil suite between an injured police officer and Glock.

Featured Content kicks off with The Shooting Wire telling us all about CompTac Holsters. After that we move to a video from Weerd World showing the brother of a Aurora victim shutting down a interviewee fishing for a political statement. The segment is closed out with a debate between Max Nacheman (Ceasefire PA) and Mark Fiorino (Pro-Gun Activist) on the Arnel Show.

The cigar and drink pairing is made up of Donut Shop Coffee and a Headley Grange (Crowned Heads Product).

The discussion topic focuses on an incident at my first IDPA Match and my thoughts on the match itself.

Possible cigar/drink pairing, I've found:  Goose Island Bourbon Stout (it's beer, not bourbon , but it was stored in bourbon casks for flavor) and your choice cigar.  The beer is so dark that you can store it open in the fridge and it won't go flat, b/c there was hardly any carbonation in it to begin with.  It's also about as dark as a good cigar.

Not sure where you can get the stout.  I know of only one place in the Phoenix Metro Area which sells it.

I like Bourbon and I like Stout. Storing a Stout in Bourbon Casks sounds very interesting. I'll have to see what I can do about tracking some down (not very easy in PA with our alcohol laws)

Speaking of PA laws....

Did you know that if you wanted to buy a 6 Pack of one type of beer, a case of another type of beer, and a bottle of bourbon, you would have to purchase them from three different stores?

Buy hey, at least in most places in the state getting a license to carry is a 15 - 20 minute process

That seems... bizarre.
