I need help. Can you clue me in on double tapping my S&W M&P .45ACP. The trigger is little hard to get used to.
I Love listening to the podcasts while working. But, I would like to here more tips on shooting handguns as it pertains to tactical defensive shooting as well as competitive shooting. I would like to compete in IDPA and/or USPSA with my M&P.
Hi Eric, keep up the good work, love the show. I thought I would get you revved up—check out the link to article (Barack Obama – Taking Away America’s Guns — UK): http://www.dailysquib.co.uk/?c=117&a=1546
I tried to do a little fact checking, but short on time… caught my attention though. See the two quotes near the end.
Just started listening and heard you were giving away a NRA membership to a listener’s relative. I had a thought that instead of that give one away to Barack Obama. Just a crazy idea.
I’ve been listening to u for some time now. Seriously enjoy the show…tips, links on stories around the states. Gives me some backup info to smack talk some of my friends that disagree with open carry or handguns in general. Love stumping them! I’m Most definitely a Zune Subscriber…GO ZUNE. I’m gonna spread it like wildfire ! Keep up the good work!!!
Eric
I would like to know if you are going to market a t-shirt with your opening comment for your show?. I think a 1911 on the pocket with the pod cast address. With your opening statement ” If handguns cause crime Mine is defective” on the back. I would love it if you would take this under consideration.
Merry Christmas
i listen on itunes.my only comments would be.although you some times ramble a bit thats what make real.its more like sitting around and bsing about guns thant listening to just another podcast.
Hey, just started listening to your podcasts and I am really enjoying them. I can’t wait to hear the next one. I just purchased a Springfield XDm and so far I am thrilled with it. Thank you for the great information and entertainment you provide.
I listen to your weekly podcast each week and many of my colleugeus at the Univerity of Maryland love your podcast. I have one reqeust, can you talk about the quality of the Taurus 1911′s. I am considering one of these and would like your opinion
Did you see the call a liberal democraticic congressman made for re-enactment of the assault weapon ban? I thought it was Ed Rendell, but I can’t remember for certain. He is saying that banning assault rifles will keep the police officers safe. Does he realize that the bad guys will continue to get their AK’s and there will be no one to back up the Police if these guns are banned? Are the liberals really so narrow minded that they cannot see past the immediate decision? Do they really not follow their logic to its conclussion?
Eric, I know you were sick during the most recent podcast, but it was just great. Keep snarfing NyQuil if that helps JK loved the stats re: the diff. between how many people are killed by guns vs the countless numbers of others who were saved by guns (DOJ report that you referenced). Yours is one of my fave podcasts. Keep up the great work and get well soon.
I just recently discovered pod cast downloads. I like your show. I’m almost caught up, seeing as how I listen to talk/radio 10 hours, 5 days a week while working. I kind of have a question and a few comments I would like for you to consider. I’ve listened to several gun rights pod cast shows now and I have noticed a similarity between everyone’s views of, “primary/backup,” caliber preferences. I guess my question is what do you think of my set up? I carry a .380 auto as primary. I prefer .40 auto as secondary, If I feel like I might need one. I’m in love with the .40 S&W. The simple fact of it is, This round is at least and the most of what I think is necessary with all things considered. She will serve me if I feel she is needed. With that said, my .380 is with me every waking moment. I don’t like that it is so tiny but this one was defiantly a keeper! Have you ever examined a Sig S. P232 SL? I want to give you a thorough review but not now. I recommend checking one out if you aren’t familiar. I also would like your opinion if you are familiar. She is only, “very slightly,” custom and I just can’t seem to put her down. I put the bulky, ugly, .40 in the other pocket. The .40 could possibly be my hero in the end but this Sig almost has a first name. Probably 80% of the time it is just me and her. Am I a fool? Like I said, “ this Sig almost has a first name.!” How do you feel about my idea that a drastic, “life or death,” situation could also be effectively resolved with the minimum force/maximum placement of .380x8x2. I love a big ass 40/45/44 as much as the rest, don’t get me wrong. Before I verge even more off track, I wanted to ask you, could you help me decide between a Sig 556 Swat Classic or an Armalite AR-15/A4 CB? Price isn’t a factor here. Don’t get me wrong again! Ha Ha, I already wish for an Ar-10 .308/seven and some .62 NATO crap! I just have an affection for Sig Arms. Is the 5.56 actually higher quality, as I have found Sig to be?
Eric,
I enjoy your podcast very much. I always look forward to the next podcast that you put out. I find the info you put out to be very helpful. I have begun a tactical shotgun build based on the Remington 870 platform. I have changed the butt stock and fore grip. My question for you is I want to use 00Buck shot and I am wondering what type of barrel I should use. Smooth bore or Rifled and where can I get a replacement barrel in the 20in range.
Eric
Good podcast. I listen on my way to work and back (2 hrs each way)… You talk about holsters but I have not heard of any mention to Fobus. I have a Fobus paddle holster for my Glock 23C and LOVE it. It was 20 bucks and is as simple and effective as the Glock itself. They also make a nice ankle holster.

Eric,
I really enjoy your podcast. I have been listening to many of your older podcasts while I am at work. I’ve heard some podcasts that you discussed holsters, I would like to hear your thoughts on the SmartCarry holster.
Nice job on the Podcast. I listen to at least 2 a day at work, I am trying to get caught up. When are you gonna give some ink to Bersa? I never hear any of the “pros” give Bersa any credit, but I have also never met a Bersa owner that has anything bad to say about their products. I know that most owners carry the smaller versions, but I have a full size Thunder 9mm that shoots like a dream and was only 350 bucks. How about checking one out and giving them some props on your show.
Just a quick questions, I was just curious if there was a specific pistol that you recommend for concealed carry. I just recently got my CWP here in New Hampshire, and wanted to know your opinion. I know you carry a Glock, I currently have one of your most hated handguns, we’ll just leave it at that and I was just curious as to what you thought.
Love the show. Downloaded every episode and listened to them all. I finally caught up.
On a sad note, I regret to inform you that my S&W .357 proved NOT to be defective. In an act of uprovoked brutality, it lept from storage and terrorized the family dog. It shot its way out a window, and started a gang with several other non-defective guns. Fortunately they were easy to apprehend when trying to flee a liquor store heist. Turns out getaway cars are hard to drive without thumbs.
I wanted to give you a well deserved good review on i-tunes but they just wouldn’t let me without a credit card number. For what it’s worth, I’m all caught up on past shows and I’m now forced to wait a whole week for more. That kinda sucks! Good stuff here bud.
I have been listening for a few weeks now and am really enjoying the pod cast. Keep up the great work. I am looking forward to Episode 101 to see what direction i.e. naming you go with. I am a new CCW holder and am gaining valuable insight. I particularly like the helpful tips on clothing, carry, and concealment.
